I stopped using Norton and switched to AVG and it was great, until I had a bunch of my online accounts hacked. I switched back to Norton (Norton 360) a few years back, have had no issues and it runs almost as fast as AVG. My only complaint is the check of every webpage can significantly slow down web browsing occasionally.
